The 39 Steps is a hilarious, fast-paced, 1930s comedy thriller, adapted by Patrick Barlow, from the movie by Alfred Hitchcock, and the novel by John Buchan.
Take an Alfred Hitchcock masterpiece, a spicy spy novel, and a riotous blend of virtuoso performances and wildly inventive physical theatre and stagecraft, and you have this riotous and magical piece of theatre.
Set in London, Edinburgh, the Scottish Highlands, and London again, this brilliantly spiffing adventure follows our dashing hero Richard Hannay (complete with stiff-upper-lip and a fine pencil moustache) as he races to solve the mystery of The 39 Steps, all while trying to clear his name following a dastardly murder.
This two-time Tony Award winner, Laurence Olivier Award winner, and Drama Desk Award winning treat is packed with nonstop gripping comedy, with more than 100 farcical characters to swoon over, played by a small, yet ridiculously talented, cast of fearless performers, and includes an onstage plane crash, a Forth Bridge train ride, a set of inescapable handcuffs, and a good old-fashioned story of love and romance, all featuring our beastly handsome hero (did we mention his fine pencil moustache?) and our devilishly beautiful heroine!
In Order of Appearance:
• Richard Hannay – Neil Campbell
• Clown Y – Kris Morrison
• Clown X – Fraser Shand
• Annabella Schmidt / Margaret – Anne Van Hoose
• Pamela – Rachel Urquhart
There’s magic to do when a prince learns the true meaning of glory, love and war in Stephen Schwartz’s iconic and unforgettable musical masterpiece.
With an infectiously unforgettable score from four-time Grammy winner, three-time Oscar winner and musical theatre giant, Stephen Schwartz, Pippin is the story of one young man’s journey to be extraordinary. Winner of four 2013 Tony Awards including Best Musical Revival, this updated circus-inspired version of Pippin continues to captivate and appeal to the young at heart throughout the world.
Heir to the Frankish throne, the young prince Pippinis in search of the secret to true happiness and fulfillment. He seeks it in the glories of the battlefield, the temptations of the flesh and the intrigues of political power (after disposing of his father, King Charlemagne the Great). In the end, though, Pippin finds that happiness lies not in extraordinary endeavors, but rather in the unextraordinary moments that happen every day.
Equally poignant as a black box production or as a splashy, spectacle-driven extravaganza, Pippin’smessage is universal and will connect with audiences across the age spectrum.

Sunshine, was a short musical theatre film we created during lockdown using the well known and loved music of The Proclaimers.
Sunshine tells a poignant and uplifting story where we dream about a return to performing together. For so many in the arts community, the possibility of coming together again as cast and crew was such an unknown as we returned to UK wide lockdowns. Ultimately, we realise what we can create together in a socially distanced way and the happiness and positivity that performance can bring. Continue reading “2021: Sunshine (Lockdown Project)”→
