Kevin Boland
Kevin Graduated from the RSAMD [rsamd.ac.uk] in Drama in 1983 and became a teacher. He has inspired many young people into theatre through his career in youth drama, initially in East Kilbride, then Drumchapel and later working with the Glasgow Schools Youth Theatre. He has also been involved with numerous Pantheon productions, both on and off-stage.
He played the M.C. in Caberet, Pilate in our concert production of Jesus Christ Superstar and also performed in The Boyfriend, La Cage Aux Folles and Beyond Reasonable Doubt. He was the stage manager for A Chorus of Disapproval and directed Peter Pan at the Mitchell Theatre and The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas at The King’s.
Singing in Jesus Christ Superstar in May 2003 realised a thirty-year long ambition.
In 1992 he took up the post of Principal Teacher of Drama at Banff Academy for three years. On his return he set up Non-Stop Theatre School, running courses for young people across the country. He teaches at Knightswood Secondary School and has recently returned to tread the boards after completing his three largest productions to date: his children Kieren, Stella and Fraser!
